This section of the trail will be approximately 13km long.
From Spout Creek walkers will continue along the beach before passing over a new bridge at Grassy Creek and heading up Big Hill.
A new crossing over the Great Ocean Road will be at Anderson Creek. It is approx. 3km from this road crossing to the first proposed suspension bridge, roughly following Mair Rd.
The first suspension bridge of 185m will link the eastern end of Mair Rd with Reedy Creek Track. From here the trail will drop south to the first proposed lookout at nearby Cathedral Rock, possibly accessible from the Cathedral Rock Car Park or Hendy Road.
From the lookout, the trail will head roughly north-west for about 4km towards a second suspension bridge.
From the second bridge, the trail will head south-east past a second lookout. This section of the trail will finish up following Stony Creek to Lily Pond Bushland Reserve on the outskirts of Lorne.
