The purpose of the Review was to seek stakeholder and community views about the LAN program – aspects that should be continued, strengthened or changed, and the appropriate future focus and opportunities for the program in the evolving Aboriginal affairs landscape.

Public engagement for the Review began with the public release of a Discussion Paper on 7 July 2021 and ended on 4 August 2021.

Feedback to the Review Discussion Paper was received via an Engage Victoria online survey. In all, 67 people responded.

Outcomes from the engagement are reflected in the Review of the LAN Program Engagement Report located in the Document Library. The Engagement Report raises a number of opportunities for future reform and design principles to achieve this reform. DPC will further consider options to action the Report’s outcomes in early 2022.
