The Environment Protection (Residential Noise) Regulations 2008 expire in October 2018. EPA has reviewed these Regulations and proposes to continue them with a few small changes.
The changes allow you to use your airconditioner even when your neighbour can hear it inside their house:
- for one hour more each evening (until 11 pm instead of 10 pm)
- any time on days when the Chief State Health Officer declares a heat health alert
- some editorial changes made to prescribed items.
