The Goulburn Valley, Gippsland, Loddon Mallee and North East Waste and Resource Recovery Groups, which plan for waste and resource recovery in their regions have received funding from Sustainability Victoria on behalf of the Victorian Government to develop a Regional Litter and Illegal Dumping Plan for each region.
The plan will be the result of a partnership between councils, state government departments and agencies and community and environmental groups based on local evidence identifying the top five litter and illegal dumping priorities for the region.
To help develop the plan, we are investigating community views, concerns and priorities about litter and illegal dumping of items.
Generally, litter is defined as small items of waste and illegal dumping is larger items, such as bigger than a shopping bag and is commonly household furniture and whitegoods, garden waste and business and household rubbish.
To find out what you think, we have developed a survey that takes about 15 minutes to complete. It is confidential and anonymous and individual responses will be collated and analysed as group data. We will report the results back to the community.
Surveys must be completed and received by Sunday 4 August 2019.
