Cladding Safety Victoria works with owners and owners corporations to help them rectify non-compliant cladding by providing support, guidance and connections to appropriately registered and qualified practitioners.

Our aim is simple - support owners and occupiers to ensure Victorian buildings with combustible cladding are rectified and deemed safe to occupy long term.

Completing this registration will enable Cladding Safety Victoria to assist owners corporations in this aim.

Cladding Safety Victoria (CSV) is currently part of the Victorian Building Authority (VBA). References to CSV in this registration form should also be read as a reference to the VBA. If this structure changes, CSV will share the information provided by you with the VBA as necessary to fulfil CSV’s functions. By submitting this registration form, the owners corporation specified below consents to sharing of that information. In addition, any information provided could be used to assist in an assessment by CSV and the State of recovery options but receipt should not in any way be viewed as confirmation that CSV or the State intends to take action to seek recovery on your behalf.

Cladding Safety Victoria (CSV) may wish to inspect the common property of your building as part of assessing your registration and administering any funding or other assistance provided by CSV. In submitting this registration, you grant CSV (and its staff, agents, consultants and contractors) permission, on behalf of the owners corporation, to inspect the common property of the building specified in this registration. CSV will provide you with at least 10 business days’ notice when an inspection is required. The inspection may include taking any samples of materials from common property (e.g. cladding or sub-structural materials). Where such notice is given, you will ensure that the owners corporation provides CSV access to the common property.

Collection Notice
Cladding Safety Victoria (CSV) is collecting the information in this form for the purpose of assessing whether your owners corporation is eligible for funding and assistance in carrying out cladding rectification work, the nature of the assistance and funding which may be provided and to enable CSV, the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) any other government or statutory body to exercise their powers in relation to cladding under any applicable legislation.

The information may be disclosed by CSV to other government or statutory bodies, including the VBA and to any consultant (including a project manager, quantity surveyor, engineer, architect, lawyer) or any contractor engaged by CSV in connection with the registration made in this form, CSV’s assessment of the form or the administration of any funding or assistance provided for the purpose of rectifying the cladding work.

If all of the requested information is not provided, CSV may be unable assess your registration and may decline to provide any funding or assistance to you.
