CLOSED: This survey has concluded.

The Victorian Government has committed to removing the Hallam Road, Hallam level crossing.

This project will have great community benefits, including making the area safer for pedestrians and cyclists, easing congestion and building a new station.

Throughout 2019 the Level Crossing Removal Project (LXRP) undertook a range of technical investigations, including

  • traffic data collection
  • feature surveys
  • geotechnical investigations and
  • local utilities assessment.

Based on these investigations, the project will remove the Hallam Road level crossing by constructing a rail bridge over Hallam Road, including building of a new Hallam Station.

There are a number of areas of the design that we are seeking community feedback on. Your feedback will help us to understand what is important to the community and what we should consider as we further develop designs.

A summary of all submissions will be provided to the Minister for Planning as part of a formal request to amend the Casey Planning Scheme.

Submissions may relate to any aspect of the Hallam Road Level Crossing Removal Project including design considerations, management or mitigation measures for any potential impacts or any other matter relevant to the construction or operation of the project.

Further information on the design solution will be posted as it becomes available at levelcrossings.vic.gov.au where you can also register for email updates.

Submissions close 5pm on Friday 6 December 2019.
