The Level Crossing Removal Project will soon be seeking planning approval from the Minister for Planning to help facilitate works. Property owners, occupiers and other interested parties are invited to submit feedback.

The proposed amendment applies a site specific planning control via an incorporated document which includes a number of conditions that will need to be met to the satisfaction of the Minister for Planning.

The proposed conditions may include considerations relating to local heritage, urban design and environmental management.

We will use your feedback to understand what is important to the community and what we need to consider as we finalise the Planning Scheme Amendment request documentation and develop the designs.

A summary of all submissions and feedback received will be provided to the Minister for Planning as a part of a formal request for planning approval.

Submissions close at 5pm Friday 7 September 2018.

An approved Planning Scheme Amendment does not enable any works impacting State heritage listed sites or assets. Any change to a site or asset on the State Heritage Register requires a permit from Heritage Victoria.
