In December 2017 the Minister for Planning has appointed an Advisory Committee ("the Committee") to review and recommend improvements to land use terms and their definitions in Clause 74 of the VPP. This is part of the Smart Planning program.
The Victorian Government initiated the Smart Planning program to reform and modernise the Victorian planning system. The aim of the Smart Planning program is to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the operation of planning schemes.
The Advisory Committee is now seeking submissions on its Discussion Paper. It would assist the Committee if specific changes were presented as track changes to the Committee's suggestions.
