Tranche 9 includes the following sites:

  • 1000 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill
  • 6-18 Spring Street, Box Hill

1000 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill

The site at 1000 Whitehorse Road currently contains the Whitehorse Campus, which is one of three campuses operated by the Box Hill Institute. It has now been declared surplus to the Box Hill Institute and Victorian Government's current and future requirements and is therefore proposed to be rezoned to Commercial 1 Zone.

16-18 Spring Street, Box Hill

The site at 16-18 Spring Street comprises part of the Nelson Campus operated by the Box Hill Institute. It is being proposed that the site be rezoned to the Mixed Use Zone with a Development Plan Overlay to allow for the development of a specialist training facility to be used by Box Hill Institute and the Epworth Hospital, as well as some residential development. This site has not been declared surplus to Box Hill Institute requirements.
