On 7 April 2018, the Minister for Planning referred the planning proposal for 1 Tower Road, Werribee to the Government Land Standing Advisory Committee for consideration. The site is a former water reserve and operations centre and is currently owned by Southern Rural Water. The site was declared surplus to the Government's current and future requirements. The site is 1.2 hectares in size and has frontages to the Princes Highway and Tower Road. The site is adjacent to the Werribee Activity Centre and residential uses.
The site owner proposes to subdivide the site so that the existing office and administrative buildings can be redeveloped to meet their future service delivery needs. The balance of the site will be re-zoned and sold.
