64 Alexandra Parade, Clifton Hill has been determined surplus to the Victorian Government’s current and future requirements. The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) on behalf of the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) has requested that the planning provisions for the site be changed to reflect that it is no longer required for public use.
The land at 64 Alexandra Parade, Clifton Hill is located on the north side of Alexandra Parade, approximately 65 metres east of Wellington Street and 350 metres west from Hoddle Street. The site was previously used as a commercial hardware store and was subsequently acquired as part of the former East West Link project. The site is 3,000 sqm in size and contains a number of one and two storey buildings.
The Minister for Planning has referred the proposal to the independent Government Land Standing Advisory Committee for consideration and to provide recommendations on the suitability of the proposed planning scheme changes below:
