How to participate

To help inform our planning, we'd like to hear how you travel around the area. We'd also like to know your thoughts on access, efficiency, and safety, and what's important to you in the local area.

You can have your say until Tuesday 14 December 2021 by:

  • completing a survey
  • dropping a pin on the interactive map.

To have your say in person, members from the project team will be at The Village Warralily Shopping Centre (3/33 Central Boulevard, Armstrong Creek 3217) on Friday 10 December 2021 between 3:30pm - 5:30pm.

Your feedback will be considered as part of our planning and will help shape the development of design options. It will build on previous engagement conducted by VicRoads to understand community views on route options and the preferred road alignment.

Overview

We're progressing planning for the potential future Geelong Ring Road Extension (Bellarine Link) between Baanip Boulevard (Surf Coast Highway) and Barwon Heads Road.

We've identified the need to develop the Geelong Ring Road Extension (Bellarine Link) in multiple stages to address immediate growth needs between:

  • Baanip Boulevard (Surf Coast Highway) and Barwon Heads Road
  • Barwon Heads Road and Portarlington Road.

As part of our current planning, we're investigating:

  • the construction of a new road link between Baanip Boulevard (Surf Coast Highway) and Barwon Heads Road
  • upgraded intersections at Baanip Boulevard (Surf Coast HIghway) and Barwon Heads Road
  • new walking and cycling paths to improve connectivity.
