Collection notice

The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor (FVRIM), as part of the Department of Premier and Cabinet, is committed to protecting personal information provided by you in accordance with the principles of Victorian privacy laws.

As part of making a submission, we require the collection of your personal information, such as your name, email address and phone number. This information is being collected to enable the FVRIM to contact you to ask any further questions about issues raised in your submission. This information is also being collected in order to assess the coverage of submissions provided across the relevant sectors and stakeholders.

If you do not provide your personal information then you will not be able to submit your submission, as the feedback you provide will not be complete and may impact the effectiveness of the consultation process.

If you provide consent to do so, your submission may be published on the Engage Victoria website and the FVRIM website You can choose to have your submission published or not published at all, however a summary of findings from submissions will be published in the FVRIM’s public report to Parliament in 2021. In this report, the FVRIM may seek to directly quote material from submissions received. Where you request that your submission not be published, it may be generally referred to, but not attributed to you or your organisation. Where you have given permission to publish your submission the FVRIM may choose to directly quote your material.

Personal information will not be published by FVRIM without your permission.

Aside from any exceptions in relevant privacy legislation and as set out in this collection notice, we will not use or disclose the personal information you provide to any organisation or for any other purpose without your consent.

The Family Violence Reform Implementation Monitor is a statutory officer that reports directly to the Victorian Parliament. The Monitor independently monitors and reviews the Victorian Government and its agencies in implementing the statewide family violence reform.
