Victoria is currently in a transport construction boom, with over 100 major projects being delivered that will transform the way we travel.
We’re seeking your feedback for projects across our state, that includes building tunnels, new freeways, removing level crossings and upgrading our road and rail networks. Our project teams have a number of consultations open for Victorians to give feedback on current and future rail and road projects.
The removal of 75 most dangerous level crossings across metropolitan Melbourne by 2025, in addition to other rail network upgrades such as new train stations, track duplication and train stabling yards.

Suburban Rail Loop will transform Victoria’s public transport system, connecting every major train line from the Frankston Line to the Werribee line, and improving access to housing, jobs, schools, universities and hospitals in Melbourne’s middle suburbs.

The level crossing at Aviation Road, Laverton was removed in September 2019. The crossing was removed by moving the road onto a new bridge over the railway line.
