In 2018, the Victorian Government committed to create the new Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands near Sunbury in Melbourne’s north-west.
These parklands are being created to provide benefits for the environment as well as the community.
The Victorian Government has provided $154 million to deliver the Suburban Parks Program, to create more than 6,500 hectares of new and upgraded parks and trails. This will include the creation of the new 1,008-hectare Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands stretching from Diggers Rest to north of Emu Bottom Wetlands in Sunbury along Jacksons Creek.
This project will deliver the Jacksons Creek Regional Parklands Plan. We welcome community feedback on the vision and priorities for the parklands.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woiwurrung as the Traditional Owners of the land known as Jacksons Creek biik wurrdha Regional Parklands and pays respect to Elders past, present and emerging.
The Wurundjeri Woiwurrung hold strong custodial responsibility to protect the Jacksons Creek biik wurrdha Cultural Landscape for future generations to enjoy.
