The Proposal

The land at 2 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne (the site) accommodated the former Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre until June 2016 when the services at the site relocated to the new Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Parkville.

The site has been determined surplus to the government’s current and future requirements. The Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) has requested that the planning provisions for the site be changed to reflect that it is no longer required for public use.

The site has an area of approximately 8,200 square metres and has a frontage to Lansdowne Street, St Andrews Place and Cathedral Place. There are a number of hospital buildings on site that vary in height between 6 and 10 storeys.

DTF has requested the following changes to the planning provisions for the Former Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre at 2 St Andrews Place, East Melbourne.

A public information session was held on Thursday 3 August 2017 at Planning Panels Victoria, 1 Spring Street, Melbourne.

Submissions

Submissions were received between 10 July and 18 August 2017.
